Kurt Wenner was an American artist and inventor of 3D illusions and he actually worked for NASA as a professional illustrator. He moved to Italy in the 80’s to live out his dream of working with renaissance art. While there he invented 3D illusion art (also known as an offspring of urban art or graffiti).
By 1991, he was commissioned by the Vatican to paint a gigantic painting which to this day holds the record for the largest piece of artwork done in that city. Once the piece had been finished, Pope John II signed the painting. This experience is fun for the whole family show so from children to adults, you’ll find your inner kid here. This is a great rainy day attraction.
Be sure to bring a camera so you can get plenty of great photos. The museum is located in the heart of the city on 10 Avenue with 10 Street, inside Plaza Pelicanos near the famous fifth avenue.
