Mérida Yucatán México is a colonial city in the southeastern part of Mexico, only 3 hours from the world famous resort Cancun. It was founded by the Spanish conqueror Francisco de Montejo in 1542.
The video shows downtown Mérida and other beautiful parts of the city, as well as the Jarana Dancers in one of the weekly free night shows that take place in the main square in front of the City Hall building.

Progreso Yucatan is a port city on the Gulf of Mexico, located 30 km / 18 mi from Mérida the Capital city of the state of Yucatán.
It is one of the newest ports of call for large cruise ships.
During the summer months the locals, people from the whole state, particularly from Merida, well to do and otherwise fill the beaches, many people own houses in this city and others rent during the months of July and August.

They keep their collection in their lovely, restored, colonial home, which is open to the public everyday.
Tours are given at 10 A M in English and Spanish. Donation $ 60.00 PESOS - $ 5.00 USD per person.
