The rooms in the museum start with the present day Mayan culture and return to explore the past of these ancient people. Exhibits feature from the pre-Hispanic era, there are stone sculptures, ceramic vessels, ornaments and luxury items made of shell, jade, and gold. They all come together to provide a framework of where the past meets the present. Included in that are the new technologies and digital systems that will give the visitor a sense of traveling back in time.
